Fishing: We are located on Banning Lake, which is part of the Seine Chain of Lakes and the gateway to Northwestern Ontario. Right from the lodge you have water-access to 30 miles of highly productive fishing without leaving the boat. We are far enough south for a long growing season but still remote and surrounded by wilderness. As a result, our lakes enjoy low fishing pressure and our guests enjoy catching lots of big fish.
Walleye are found in great numbers with many trophies being caught-&-released all summer. Our countless weedy bays, rocky structure and prolific forage-base produce massive Northern Pike. We have lakes that are easy to access, which have outstanding Lake Trout Fishing. Our waterway may have the best Smallmouth Bass fishing in all of Ontario. Smallmouth Bass can be found in uncountable numbers with an unusual amount of big trophies.
We also offer guided fishing trips .
Hunting: Our guests also enjoy some of the best big game hunting in Ontario. Whitetail Deer in the region are over-populated with many large-bodied trophy bucks being harvested. There are very few Whitetail Deer outfitters in the area, which gives our hunting guests an excellent success rate. The availability of food makes our Black Bears big and husky. On occasion hunting guests harvest Black Bears with rare color variations. Our Black Bear Hunt has a very high success rate. Moose and Grouse are all over the place because the park acts like a game preserve.
Cabins: Both our new cabins and our rustic cabins are clean are cozy with both
housekeeping and
light-housekeeping accommodations available.
Winter: Atikokan has some of the best snowmobile trails in Ontario, which gives you hundreds of miles of groomed trails to explore as well as get access to remote lakes for some awesome ice fishing. Our new cabins are warm and winterized with close access to the main trails.
